“table to domain” tool fails with the “replace” as “update option”,

I’m wondering why the “table to domain” tool fails with the “replace” as “update option” as shown in the screenshots below.
The source domain table is an attribute table of a feature class stored in an enterprise geodatabase and the destination is the domain of an enterprise geodatabase
