Identify not returning results after upgrade to 10.2

Hi All,
We Upgraded our SDE 9.3.1 (SQL Server 2005) to SDE 10.2 (SQL Server 2008R2) and found identify on most of the features not working.
Are there any known issues ?

Any help on the same will be great.

Steps that were employed in upgrading [I think something has gone awry here]
1. Install SQL Server 2008R2
2. Add existing mdf file
3. Installing ArcSDE 10.2
4. Upgraded database using ArcCatalog

We see lot of data missing from the feature classes when viewed from ArcCatalog
Can someone suggest the right procedure to carry this upgrade
