Part of our organization is attempting to assign a model name to a feature class in an Oracle sde database (10.0) without success. What is the recommended approach to assigning a model name for Oracle based sde instances?
Arcobjects or some third party product?
They have seen a discussion article: XML in geodatabase system tables However, this appear only to address reading data.
Another group in our organization uses SQL Server and is able to access this through the product XML Spy from Altova and is able to assign model names. The Oracle side seems to be different.
Unfortunately, the 'simplification' of the geo-database at 10.0 has been a bit of a hassle relative to accessing the model name.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
