10.1 what happened to the default sde configuration files

I hope I am just missing something here. I know the ArcSDE post install has been replaced by Geoprocessing tools in toolbox, but I can't find any files or settings that will let me control the way the tool initially configures my geodatabases on SQL Server 2012. I see there is a dbtune.sde file in the ArcGIS\Desktop10.1\DatabaseSupport\DB2zOS folder for doing this on DB2. Is there not the same functionality with SQL Server?

Thank you.
