Undo edit after save in versioning environment

Hi experts,

I want to undo edits during a version editing AFTER saving it..

How to do that ?
i already tried but i could not do it... During edit session, I make edits and I am able to undo them. But after I save it, I cant undo what i have edited. I have not even done a compress

So, I don't quite get the idea of undoing in versioned editing... In my thinking, i should be able to undo after i quit the editing session since all the information is still stored in A,D tables and the lineage tables

Please enlighten me...

I am using: ArcSDE 9.3 / 10.1 , sql server 2005.
